Micky Flanagan: An’ Another Fing…

The UK’s best-selling and most loved comedian is hitting the road once again for the “An’ Another Fing…” tour. Running from early September through November 5, Micky’s tour will include a 12-night stint at London’s O2 arena and stops in Cardiff and Brighton.

Known as a man of the people, Micky pokes fun at his newfound wealth in his latest show. Micky describes his year off from touring, in which he jokes about waiting for the pub to open so he could pass the time with the paper and a pint.
Tickets have already sold out for many of the dates on his tour.

Born in 1962, Micky grew up in Bethnal Green on a council estate. At the age of 15, he left the estate with no qualifications. He took on a job at the Billingsgate Fish Market before spending a year in New York working as a chef and dishwasher. He then returned to London to work as a furniture maker, and spent some time as a window cleaner.

Micky resumed his education at the age of 25, and he went on to train for a career in teaching. Describing the experience as the “unhappiest year” of his life, he decided to ditch teaching.

In 1997, Micky became a professional comedian after taking a comedy course at Jacksons Lane. He performed as one of four headline acts in the Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2001. In 2003, he co-headlined a show with comedian Nina Conti.

Micky performed his first full-length show in 2006, and was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer award the following year. In 2010/2011, he toured the UK in his “The Out Out Tour.”

Prior to touring, Micky regularly preformed on the Out to lunch show on Radio 2. He also made an appearance in 2009 on the Mickey McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Micky’s television credits include The Mad Bad Ad Show, a comedy panel programme, Was It Something I Said? and The Graham Norton Show. In 2017, Micky had his own show on Sky 1 called Thinking Aloud.

The comedian has also released two stand-up DVDs: Live: The Out Out Tour and Back in the Game Live. The DVD for his latest tour “An’ Another Fing…” is slated for a November 20 release. Fans who can’t catch the show in person can pre-order the DVD well in advance of the release.
