Emeli Sandé: Long Live The Angels Tour with Support from Calum Scott

Emeli Sandé, the Scottish recording artist, is on her Long Live the Angels Tour with support from Calum Scott. She announced the tour, the second one for her, in November 2016.

The tour will have 40 total shows and is in support of her Long Live the Angels album.

She will also be playing her first arena shows during the tour. She opens up in her home country of Scotland at Usher Hall in Edinburgh. The first leg of the tour is in Europe, with the second leg of the tour beginning in October 2017 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

She’ll open in Scotland once again at the Oil & Gas Arena and will play the majority of the second leg in arenas.

Sandé’s career began in 2008 when her sister made a video of her singing “Nasty Little Lady.” The clip was sent into the BBC Urban music competition, with Sandé winning the competition and landing a record deal.

Her first debut came on “Diamond Rings,” a song that she wrote for Chipmunk’s. The single landed in the top 10 followed by her lending her vocals to “Never Be Your Woman,” which also went on to reach the top 10 charts.

“Heaven,” the first single on her debut album, was released in August 2011.

Sandé went on to be nominated for the British Breakthrough Act award. She would then collaborate with several big names over the next two years, performing with David Guetta after she recorded a version of “Titanium.”

She would then perform at the 2012 Summer Olympics during the opening ceremony.

Long Live The Angels was first announced in 2013, but it took over three years for the album to finally be released. She released the album on 11 November 2016. The album reached the second position on the UK album chart during its debut.

Calum Scott, her support on the tour, is a British singer and songwriter that appeared on Britain’s Got Talent. His first single, “Dancing on My Own”, hit the second spot on the UK Singles Chart, pushing him into the spotlight.

The single was certified platinum in several countries and helped him win a nomination for “British Single of the Year” at the 2017 Brit Awards. He has yet to release his first album, but he has stated that he signed a deal with Captiol Records to record his debut album.
